Backbone was developed for lawn areas under the umbrella of Markka Genetics. It is used in football fields, golf courses and landscape areas.
Thanks to its formulation, it acts very quickly. Depending on the soil cation exchange capacity, it shows its effects 72 hours after application at the latest. The calcium it contains improves the durability of grass leaves; Crampons increase resistance to physical stress caused by machinery, vehicles and equipment. In areas where frost occurs, black-purple cracks are observed on the tips of grass leaves in case of calcium deficiency.
Backbone is especially preferred for pre-match applications because the magnesium it contains encourages chlorophyll synthesis and darkens the color of the grass on the applied fields. Due to the lack of sunlight during the winter months and the fact that stadiums are generally built in closed-semi-closed arena architecture, the dark color of the grass in regions with low sunlight duration allows more sunlight to be absorbed. At the same time, the organic matter ratio has been carefully prescribed. As it is known, grass areas are built on a sand profile. Lack of organic matter causes rooting, pH buffering properties of the soil, and general plant physiology to be negatively affected. Since it contains a quality combination of organic nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen, it activates the stagnant, non-tilling grass by providing enzyme and hormone activation in the plant.
